Ante litteram feminism

Nurse and activist, Margaret Sanger has the merit of having introduced the concepts of “birth control” and “conscious sexuality”. Against abortion, she saw prevention and education as the only alternatives to make women conscious of their bodies and their sexuality. Even today the female world struggles for self-determination and the elimination of inequalities, a century ago Sanger founded the American Birth Control League. The strength and commitment of this woman teach us that by persevering, change can be made possible.
